West Bend Art Fair Prospectus

The League of Milwaukee Artists (LMA) is sponsoring the West Bend Art Fair to take place at the Gallery of Wisconsin Art (GOWA), 303 Water Street in West Bend, WI. The art fair is only open to Wisconsin artists and art groups. A plein air competition will also be part of the event, and will require a separate registration fee.
Dates: Saturday, August 18, 9am to 5pm, and Sunday, August 19, 2018, 10am to 5pm.
Set-up: After 2pm on Friday, August 17 AND 7am to 9am on Saturday, August 18. All displays must be in place when the art fair opens at 9am on Saturday morning. Artists who set up their tents on Friday should NOT leave artwork overnight as no security will be provided.
Tear down: After 5pm on August 19 AND before noon on Monday morning, August 20.
Size of show: Approximately 20 Wisconsin artists/groups/associations.
Size of booths: 10’ X 10’. Up to three double booths will be permitted and charged twice the applicable registration fees.
Electricity: No electrical connections will be provided.
Items on sale: Artists can sell any of THEIR OWN art work and creative endeavors, including merchandise that incorporates their original images, such as giclees and notecards. Artists are NOT permitted to sell work purchased from someone else, or the work of other artists.
Associations/Artist Organizations: Artist groups or associations may have tents that sell the work or products of their members. Each tent must have a selection of work from its members to qualify as a group tent. Any artist whose work is on display must be present at the art fair.
Selection Criteria: LMA members who apply for the art fair are automatically accepted and will receive priority booth assignments. Non-members who apply may, at the discretion of the LMA board of directors, be asked to provide samples of their work in order to maintain a high professional standard for the art fair.
Sales: Artists may keep 100% of their sales. They must charge tax and maintain records of their sales.
Security: Artists may store their artwork inside the locked lower level of GOWA on Saturday night. No additional security will be provided.
Insurance: Artists should maintain their own insurance on their art and display equipment. Neither LMA nor GOWA will be responsible for loss or damage.
Fees: LMA members pay $90 for a 10’ X 10’ tent space. Artists who are not LMA members, and other artist associations pay $120 for a 10’ X 10’ tent space. Should an artist or association register and pay fees for the fair, and is then later determined to not meet standards according to the “Selection Criteria,” the full fee will be refunded after May 31st.

Deadline: Registrations will be accepted until the art fair is full, or NLT Thursday, May 31st. A waiting list will be established in the event of cancellations or no-shows.
Refunds: Registration fees are refundable in full if an artist or group cancels prior to Thursday, May 31st. From Friday, June 1st until Tuesday, July 31st, 50% of the registration fee will be refunded to canceling artists or groups. No refunds will be made for cancellations after Tuesday, July 31st.

Step 2 - Then select "Buy Now" by the option you prefer. You will be redirected to a PayPal site where you will have the option of paying with a credit card or with your PayPal account.
Registration is not complete until both steps are completed.
