February 10th
Speaker: Steve Baughman
Spray paint artist.

A little bit about Steve: I am a full-time painter – a spray-paint artist – and I enjoy producing paintings using little more than simple cans of spray-paint, a few small pieces of sponges and a pallet-knife. I enjoy painting everything from traditional landscapes to fantasy star-scapes and abstracts. What I find most intriguing about this style of painting, is in the complete “serendipity” about the whole process. You just never know for sure how the spray is going to come out of the can and hit the surface. In my own art background, I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Whitewater, Wisconsin. I studied traditional oil & acrylic painting, drawing, art history and commercial art. Now, after years in the commercial art arena, I've come back full circle, and am once again painting – but in a different medium. Spray-paint: it's not just for lawn furniture and graffiti anymore.
