The Grohmann Museum is home to the world’s most comprehensive art collection dedicated to the evolution of human work. This venue has more than 1,400 paintings, sculptures, and works on paper representing the evolution of human work.
Since this a venue of the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), works must reflect the theme of the exhibition. Plan ahead now to create works applicable to be shown in the 2020 exhibition.

Artists may pre-register up to two (2) artworks each, but the second work may be subject to space availability by its order of registration. If one of an artist’s works does not exceed 16” in any direction, s/he could submit up to three (3) works total. Though this is not a juried exhibition, we request the use of the Juried Exhibit Application because we want to see an image of your entry.
8 artists can apply to exhibit their art (up to four works each) for the duration of the show (November 9-December 31, 2019….drop off November 7th pick up January 2nd) Deadline to enter these opportunities below is… NOW….we are accepting artists for this right now. Being the end of the year, we need to put this event on the 2019 calendar for the library as they are doing their promotions now for next year.
Be a showcase artist to come to the library during any opening hours, the week of November 10-16th. Set up your table, draw or paint etc. Bring a couple of your works to sell as well! Portrait artists may advertise their availability and take orders too. The library welcomes several artists at one time to do this each day the week of November 10-16th.
Donate art supplies to the LMA Art Fund Drive. LMA will have recognition within the community with a FUND DRIVE. A basket will be at the library with our name on it. We will have area art supply businesses, public and artists like you, donate pencils, crayons, paper, paints, books…anything art related. At the end of the exhibition, these will be given to the Mequon/Thiensville School District to give to art teachers for the students to use. Art classes are in great need of supplies and this is one way to contribute to our budding artists and to have them realize we are here to help the mission.
Be a teacher. ADDITIONAL HIGHLIGHT TO LMA WEEK>>>> An artist from our organization that teaches their craft in other venues will be demonstrating on evening of November 12th . Those artists who would like to do this ($150.00) contact Susan as well. First come, first serve. For additional opportunities like this please call Susan and let her know you would be interested to teach in other venues in the future.
Contact our exhibition chair, Susan Steinhafel at 262-707-4398 to register.
