"Regeneration" New Works For A New Year, an on-line exhibition

Exhibit Dates: March 1st - March 31st

As the new year begins, LMA invites its members to submit up to 3 works that interpret the idea of regeneration and artisticlly express what the process of renewal and growth means to them.  LMA's very own Tom Smith will be creating this non-juried online show for the general public to view and to purchase from.  The video slideshow will premiere online here and our YouTube channel.  

Application Details:  Submission period is January 1st - February 15th.  Only works that have been created within the last 3 years and have not been previously exhibited in any other LMA show will be considered.  This is a juried show.  First place, second place, third place and honorable mention prizes will be awarded.

Eligibility:  Open to any LMA members in good standing; during the Covid-19 Pandemic, the two meeting rule has been waived. Each member may submit up to three (3) pieces of artwork.  When applying, please use the online application to provide the following information: name; email; website; artwork title; price; size of framed artwork, (or note if it is on a gallery wrapped canvas); and JPG of piece in its frame.  If glare from frame does not allow for a clear image, then include a JPG of image and a description of the frame, i.e., for example, "3 inch off white mat in quarter inch chrome frame."

The Grohmann Museum is home to the world’s most comprehensive art collection dedicated to the evolution of human work. This venue has more than 1,400 paintings, sculptures, and works on paper representing the evolution of human work. 

For Participating Artists, here are the new dates for drop-off, etc.

  • NEW drop off artwork dates: April 29 and 30th 12pm -4pm;  May 1st 10am - 4pm
  • Grand Opening / Meet the Artists: May 21st 6pm - 8pm 
  • NEW Gallery Night Open House: July 16th  6pm - 8pm
  • NEW Pick Up Dates: August 26th and 27th 12pm - 4pm

Exhibit Dates: August 13 - October 1, 2021

Plymouth Gallery 110 North is the premier art destination in western Sheboygan County.  Located in historic downtown Plymouth. This community non-profit organization is dedicated to its mission… “To enliven the spirit of our community and to enrich the lives of all, by providing diverse experiences in the arts!”

Eligibility: Open to any LMA member in good standing.  During the Covid-19 pandemic the two meeting rule will be waived.  You may enter any artworks that have been completed in the last three years and haven’t been shown in a LMA show before.

A total of 50 -70 pieces of artwork, including 2D wall-hung and 3D pieces. (3D number limited to which PAC display equipment will accommodate).

This is a juried show.

  • You can submit up to three pieces, eligibility will depend upon space and juror findings. 
  • Giclees or lithographs not eligible.
  • Pieces must be properly wired, framed and ready to hang. No saw tooth hangers.
  • Please attach a card with name, title, medium, size and sale price to back of each submission.
  • Submit your work in JPEGs to the League of Milwaukee Artists website submission form.
  • This is a juried exhibition and the images will be reviewed.
  • There will be a 35% commission due to the Plymouth Arts Center for any art works sold.

Application Details:

  • You may enter up to 3 pieces for this show. 
  • When applying, please provide the following information: name, mailing address, email and phone. 
  • For each submitted piece, include title, medium, size as whole numbers and price
  • For the gallery name tags, there is a 36-character limit for title and medium together
  • Include additional information regarding pieces in Artist Statement, which will be included in a gallery binder for public viewing.
  • Upload Artist Statement as a PDF file.
  • Upload all images as JPG or JPEG files.

Deadline for submission is May 21st, 2021

Notification of acceptance will be June 11th, 2021
